Our Mission
We provide produce and shelf stable items free of charge on a weekly basis to anyone in need. There are no questions asked – there is no judgment. We shop “one on one” with each person and use a “Client Choice” format in order to eliminate food waste. This also allows us to make a personal connection with each and every shopper. We make sure that everyone knows that they are cared for at The Little Pantry That Could.
While we are primarily a food pantry, we are about more than just filling a bag with food; we are about filling a need – whatever that need may be. We provide referrals to other agencies for specific needs and also coordinate with other local organizations to host Food Stamp Clinics, Housing Clinics, Employment and Healthcare Clinics.
We treat each person who enters our doors with dignity and respect. Each shopper is seen as a unique individual who not only receives from us, but also contributes by becoming a part of TLPTC Family.
Who We Are, What We Do
The Little Pantry That Could was established in 2010. We are set up like a free grocery store. We distribute fresh produce, shelf-stable foods and basic necessities every Saturday morning from 9AM to 1PM. We are located at 2011 24th Ave North. We are just steps from a #22 bus stop (Clarksville Hwy and 25th Ave N).
The Little Pantry is staffed by volunteers. If you would like to become a volunteer, there are ways to serve on Fridays (stocking) and Saturday mornings (with our shoppers) or any time by coordinating a food drive.
Our Affirmation
We are available to others, affirming to others. We do not feel threatened that others are able and good. We belong to a Greater Whole that is diminished when others are humiliated or oppressed.
We are a Community. I am what I am because of who we are.
Help a neighbor
We would love your help with urgent needs.
